Stories of Change

Meet Rayane and Zayd
In the heart of our foundation’s work, we want to introduce you to two incredible children: Rayane and Zayd. You might have seen them in the photo with me the two boys who captured our hearts. Their mother, who you’ll also see, works tirelessly selling bread on the streets just to keep them going. They live in very difficult conditions . With their father unemployed and their mother struggling to make ends meet, the boys were often out helping her instead of going to school.

What the Zahra Foundation has done is step in to ensure these kids can have a different future. We’ve enrolled Rayane and Zayd in school, covering their tuition and all their supplies for the entire year. And we’re committed to supporting their education all the way through high school. This is just one example of how we’re changing lives, and we’re about to launch a new campaign to do even more of this for other children in similar situations.

Meet Amina: Amina, 10, was on the verge of dropping out of school due to a lack of resources. With Zara Foundation’s support, she received books, a uniform, and daily school meals. Today, she is excelling in her studies and dreams of becoming a doctor.

Meet Fatima: Fatima, a widowed mother of three, struggled to provide for her children. Through our micro-loan program, she started a small sewing business. Now, she earns a steady income, ensuring her children stay in school and thrive.

Small Acts, Big Impact: Idriss Abderrahim

Meet Ibrahim, a dedicated primary school teacher in Morocco and a father of three young children. When Abderrahim was diagnosed with lung cancer, he had to stop working, and his family’s savings were consumed by healthcare costs. With no local insurance coverage, the burden left them unable to pay for their children’s schooling.

The Zahra Foundation stepped in with one small act: we covered the children’s school tuition. This ensured stability and peace of mind for Ibrahim, knowing his children’s future remained intact. While we can’t cure cancer, we can ease the weight of worry. This is what we’re about small acts, big impact because even modest support can change lives.

There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.
